A wise man once said that a man's life is not measured in the things he has, but in the friends he makes.  Since coming to Winnsboro, the wealth of our lives has greatly increased.  God has blessed us here and we thank Him often.  We have seen a generous and loving people, committed to the Lord, to their friends and family, to the church, and to the community.   We have attended dramatic productions, football games, basketball games, social events, youth events, and community meetings.  Enough is Enough, hurricane disaster relief, Community worship and outreach, cooperation among the churches, and many other activities and events have inspired and taught us new possibilities when people join together in the grace of God and name of Jesus Christ.

 First United Methodist Church (FUMC) is a place where people are learning and serving Christ while having fun.  The Big House (Youth House) is being remodeled.  A new Family Life Center is being built.  Worship, Sunday School, fellowship events, service opportunities, and Bible studies are just some of the indicators of a church that is vital in the service of Christ.

 FUMC has an active and dedicated staff, working together for Christ to serve the church and to reach those beyond the church.

 We extend a welcome to people who do not yet have a church home.  Come visit us.  Participate in our activities or events.  When it is time, when the Lord is leading you to do so, make a formal and covenant commitment to be part of the family called First Methodist.  In the meanwhile, come and enjoy the life of this faith family. . .
